A world in the making. A movie you can read, a book you can watch
An cinematic novel in active development.
Some stories begin with hope. Others begin with escape.
We are building a slow, cinematic novel.
A story told through image, text and sound.
One meant to be explored, not consumed.
Every chapter unfolds slowly. Every frame carries intention. You can watch the narrative move at its own pace as you uncover small secrets, explore tiny details and discuss every memorable moment. Worlds like this are built carefully, and never alone.
The World
Arcadia is withering in perpetual autumn, torn between opposing forces.
Within its cities, behind fortified walls progress is pursued relentlessly, no matter the cost. It is called salvation.
Beyond the city gates stretch ancient forests, where the last of the fey refuse to bow to the new human order.
The balance is fragile. It cannot last.
How does a brutal industrial era collide with a fairytale?
There is only one way to find out.
The story so far:
You don’t just follow the story, you walk through it.
Wander the streets of Arcis through cinematic narrated frames, uncover hidden details, and piece together what others might miss.
Some details are meant to be noted. Others — to be discussed
Three unlikely heroes
will attempt to cross the boundary between the two opposites.
What they find beyond the walls will change them — and perhaps the world itself.
Joelle. A noble soul, always ready to offer help and counsel to any passer-by.
He answers every question — except the ones about himself.
Some troubles force him far from home.
Some of them hunger for blood.
Char. He knows the taste of dust from forgotten places.
He has seen what lies buried — and what should have stayed that way.
He laughs first and makes sure you do too.
Look closer: the smile tilts, the joke wears thin.
Isn’t it meant to turn your eyes away from something?
Gem. A few careful words — and you’re handing her your purse.
She never stays long enough to be known.
When she slips back into the shadows, you’re left wondering what she took — and whether she was ever real at all
Current Stage
Unspring is in active development.
• Full narrative arc completed
• Prologue script fully written
• Original musical themes composed
• 60% of the prologue visuals completed
• Motion design in early production
The visual direction and core artwork are currently developed by one artist, ensuring a cohesive tone and style as the world takes shape.
We are now expanding the team carefully.
Join the making
As we are currently working on the prologue — we are looking for people who can help us bring it to life:
Voice actors — to give the characters their voice
Motion designers — to begin adding movement and rhythm to the existing scenes
Next steps
As the prologue comes together, we will move into full assembly:
Sound design & audio — integrating music, voice and atmosphere
Editing — shaping the final narrative flow and pacing
As the project grows
Unspring will gradually expand into a larger production:
UI / interaction design
Technical development
Narrative implementation
Production & coordination
Community / presence
If you feel connected to this kind of work — we’d love to hear from you, even if the timing isn’t immediate.
How we work
Some roles are paid when budget allows, some are collaborative.
What matters most is alignment — with the tone, the pace, and the kind of story we are trying to tell.
